Martin Eisler was born in 1913 in Wien, Austria. He moves to Argentina in 1938 where he starts his work as a designer and architect. From the early 1950’s to the late 1970′s he works mostly in Brazil in collaboration with Carlo Hauner. He also works on his own designs, mostly self produced and he collaborates with the Brazilian company Forma.
Lines are sleek, curves are fruitful and the pieces were beautifully crafted. Eisler used many local exotic woods like jacaranda and cavunia, but he also experimented with black lacquered wood, reverse painted glass, bronze and cane materials.
